Two men have been arrested in Kathmandu on charges of assaulting and mistreating foreign nationals, police said.
According to Kausal Kumar Budhathoki, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Kathmandu District Police Office, Mahesh Rokaya from Bel-Danda in Kanchanpur and Surendra Shrestha from Nuwakot were arrested from the Bollywood Dance Club in Lazimpat.
The dance club was found to have been involved in assaulting Indian nationals and forcing them to pay inflated bills through mobile banking, police said.
The two men were also accused of obstructing police work and engaging in a scuffle with police personnel. Further investigation is underway, police added.
