Nepal’s Industry Department Shifts Most Services Online

Nepal’s Industry Department has fully shifted its administrative and regulatory services online, aiming to provide easy, quick, and transparent services to its clients.

According to the department, services such as industry registration, renewal, industry updates, industry transfer, capital and capacity increase, name and objective revision, foreign investment approval, business visa recommendation, and annual progress report, among others, are now available online.

The department has removed the requirement for clients to physically visit the office for services that have been included in the online system. Only authorized representatives of the concerned industry or company, with necessary identification, will be required to be present if needed.

All procedures for services included in the online system will be completed electronically, the department has clarified.

Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav has directed the department to make its services more digital, efficient, and result-oriented since taking office.

The department has urged industrialists and businessmen to make maximum use of the online system.
