Nepal’s Taxpayer Incentive Portal Goes Live, Urges Consumers to Register Bills

The Inland Revenue Department has launched a taxpayer incentive portal and is urging consumers to register their sales bills to participate in the program.

The portal, which can be accessed at ‘prize.ird.gov.np’, allows consumers who have purchased goods or services worth over 100 rupees since Shrawan 1, 2083, to upload their bills. However, payments made through bank or wallet QR codes are automatically included in the system, so consumers do not need to register those bills separately.

The department has emphasized that while bills are not required to be registered initially, they will be necessary when claiming prizes. Therefore, it has urged consumers to keep all their bills safe.

The taxpayer incentive program, which was launched on Shrawan 1, 2083, offers a daily prize of 100,000 rupees to one consumer and a bumper prize of 1 million rupees to one consumer every 15 days. The department plans to announce the results of the first 15 days of the program next week.
