Nepal has imported petroleum products worth Rs 24.50 billion through the Kakarbhitta customs point in the last fiscal year.
The imports include petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with petrol imports valued at Rs 12.18 billion, diesel at Rs 9.55 billion, and LPG at Rs 2.77 billion.
In the previous fiscal year, petrol imports stood at Rs 8.92 billion and diesel imports at Rs 7.03 billion.
According to Shivlal Nyaupane, chief of the Kakarbhitta customs office, the government collected Rs 5.85 billion in revenue from petrol imports and Rs 2.93 billion from diesel imports in the last fiscal year.
