The Nepal government has directed its ministries, provincial governments, and local authorities to refund application fees to candidates whose job vacancies have been cancelled.
The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has written to all ministries, provincial governments, and local authorities, instructing them to return the application fees to the concerned candidates through their bank accounts.
The directive comes after several job vacancies were cancelled due to various reasons, leaving many candidates who had applied for the positions in limbo.
The administration branch of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has issued a letter to all ministries, provinces, local authorities, and their subordinate bodies and organisations, making it mandatory to implement the new arrangement.
The move is expected to bring relief to thousands of job aspirants who had applied for various government positions but were left disappointed after the vacancies were cancelled.
