The Gandaki Provincial Assembly is set to reconvene today at 2:00 pm. The assembly was previously adjourned on Ashar 25.
According to the provincial assembly secretariat’s secretary, Govinda Paudel, today’s meeting is expected to discuss the bill related to the regulation and use of cannabis for medicinal and industrial purposes, which was returned by Provincial Chief Dilli Raj Bhatta for reconsideration.
Paudel stated, ‘A message from the Provincial Chief regarding the return of the bill will be presented to the provincial assembly, and there is a schedule for a zero-hour meeting where provincial assembly members can express their opinions on current issues.’
The cannabis cultivation bill, which was passed by the provincial assembly on Ashar 25, was returned by Provincial Chief Bhatta for reconsideration last Friday.
