Heavy Rainfall Expected in Three Provinces of Nepal

Nepal’s Meteorological Forecasting Division has warned of heavy rainfall in three provinces – Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali – due to the ongoing monsoon season.

According to the division, the monsoon low-pressure system is currently located near the Surdar area, with light to moderate rainfall expected in most parts of the country.

Heavy rainfall is expected in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with a possibility of flash floods, landslides, and soil erosion.

The division has urged people in these areas to take necessary precautions and be prepared for any potential disasters.

The monsoon season, which began on Ashar 15, 2083, is expected to continue until the end of Ashwin, 2083.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has also warned of possible disruptions to daily life, agriculture, health services, tourism, and transportation due to the heavy rainfall.
