Dhanusha District Administration Office has lifted the curfew order issued earlier, replacing it with a prohibitory order.
Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel issued a notice stating that the curfew order, which was in effect from 3:30 pm on Shrawan 14, 2083, has been lifted as of 10:00 am today.
However, the administration has imposed a prohibitory order under Section 693 of the Local Administration Act, 2028, restricting gatherings of more than five people, assemblies, processions, and demonstrations within the designated area.
The prohibitory order will be in effect within the area bounded by Lakshminiya Hatbazar Chok in the north, Siurjoda Chok in the west, Lakshmipur Boba in the east, and Nagrain Municipality in the south.
The District Administration Office has warned that anyone violating the prohibitory order will be taken into custody and action will be taken according to the prevailing law.
In a separate development, the District Administration Office in Siraha has also lifted the curfew order issued in Lahan Municipality.
Chief District Officer Surendra Paudel issued a notice stating that the curfew order has been lifted as of 10:00 am today, based on the assessment of the security situation in the area.
The administration has appealed to the public to cooperate in maintaining peace, security, and social harmony.
