A curfew imposed in Saptari, Nepal, since the night of Shrawan 14, remains in effect, with a brief relaxation in restrictions to allow for essential shopping.
The District Administration Office in Rajbiraj announced a temporary lifting of the curfew from 7 am to 11 am to enable the purchase of daily essentials. However, the administration has urged the public to strictly adhere to the curfew from 11 am onwards to maintain peace and security.
According to a notice issued by the District Administration Office, anyone found engaging in unruly activities or inciting violence during this period will face legal action. The notice also warns against gatherings of more than five people with the intention of causing unrest.
The curfew was initially imposed in various parts of Saptari following communal clashes that began in Sunsari on Shrawan 14.
