Wholesale Prices Set for Fresh Produce in Nepal

Kathmandu. The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for fresh produce for the day.

According to the committee, the wholesale prices for various fruits and vegetables have been set as follows: large Nepali eggplants at Rs 60 per kilo, large Indian eggplants at Rs 70 per kilo, small tunnel eggplants at Rs 30 per kilo, long red potatoes at Rs 51 per kilo, round red potatoes at Rs 51 per kilo, mud potatoes at Rs 51 per kilo, Indian red potatoes at Rs 37 per kilo, white potatoes at Rs 35 per kilo, and dried onions at Rs 57 per kilo.

Other wholesale prices set by the committee include carrots at Rs 120 per kilo, cauliflower at Rs 110 per kilo, radish at Rs 30 per kilo, white radish at Rs 20 per kilo, long beans at Rs 60 per kilo, and broad beans at Rs 70 per kilo.

The committee has also set wholesale prices for various leafy greens, including rayo sag at Rs 200 per kilo, palungo at Rs 300 per kilo, tori ko sag at Rs 150 per kilo, green onions at Rs 200 per kilo, and chayau at Rs 280 per kilo.

Wholesale prices for various fruits have also been set, including Fuji apples at Rs 300 per kilo, Nepali bananas at Rs 300 per dozen, Malbhog bananas at Rs 200 per dozen, oranges at Rs 200 per kilo, pomegranates at Rs 500 per kilo, and watermelons at Rs 70 per kilo.

The committee has also set wholesale prices for various other items, including dragon fruit at Rs 400 per kilo, ginger at Rs 230 per kilo, dried chilies at Rs 550 per kilo, and green chilies at Rs 80 per kilo.
