Police in Nepal have arrested two individuals in possession of undisclosed Indian currency.
The arrests were made by the Area Police Office in Janaki Tol, under the District Police Office, after a special tip-off. The police stopped a motorcycle with license plate number Na 10 Pa 4469 on the Nahar Road section of Jagnarathpur village municipality 2 in Parsa and found undisclosed Indian currency.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the District Police Office, Chakrabahadur Mall, the motorcycle riders, 42-year-old Dipesh Himdung from Raksirang village municipality 2 in Makwanpur, currently residing in Hanumanjhula, ward 9 of Madi municipality in Chitwan, and 26-year-old Tilak Himdung from the same place, were found to be carrying undisclosed Indian currency.
The police found 316 notes of 500 rupees, 75 notes of 200 rupees, and 365 notes of 100 rupees, all of which are prohibited Indian currency. Dipesh and Tilak have been taken into custody along with the motorcycle and further investigation is underway.
