Nepali Congress Forms Strategic Task Force for Disaster Management

Nepali Congress has formed a strategic task force for disaster management. The announcement was made by Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma during the closing ceremony of a three-day preparation and response training held at the party office in Sanepa.

The task force consists of 40 young participants who took part in the training. Sharma, who is also the head of the party’s Central Policy, Research and Training Institute, urged the participants to consider the three-day training as the beginning of a long journey to save the lives of people affected by disasters.

Sharma informed that the party aims to produce one thousand such task forces across the country. He stated that the Nepali Congress is committed to helping those affected by disasters and to contributing to the development of society and the nation.

The training was conducted by experts who have worked with the United Nations and the International Red Cross. The participants were trained in various aspects of disaster management and response.
