President Paudel Pays Tribute to Late Congress Leader Shrestha

President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Deputy Prime Minister Gopal Man Shrestha, offering condolences to the bereaved family.

President Paudel, accompanied by First Lady Savita Paudel, visited the late leader’s residence in Sanepa and paid tribute to the departed soul, wishing for eternal peace. He also expressed sympathy to the grieving family members and relatives, praying that they may find the strength to bear the loss.

President Paudel remembered Shrestha’s leadership role in various struggles and movements for the establishment, reinstatement, and strengthening of democracy since his student days. He praised Shrestha’s unwavering commitment to the nation, unshakeable faith in democracy, and dedication to socialism, as well as his contributions to public life.

The President noted that Shrestha’s passing is a loss to Nepal’s democratic movement and that the country has lost a fearless and truthful advocate of democracy.
