Nepse Index Rises 12.96 Points to Close at 2685.54

The Nepse index rose by 12.96 points to close at 2685.54 on Friday, marking a significant increase after a week of continuous decline.

The market saw a turnover of Rs 3.759 billion, with 337 companies trading 8.8 million shares in 46,752 transactions.

The Sensitive Index also rose by 2.44 points to close at 470.13, while the Float Index and Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.54% and 0.61%, respectively.

A total of 180 companies saw their share prices rise, while 82 companies saw a decline, and 13 companies remained stable.

The sub-index of 11 groups, including commercial banks, development banks, finance, hotels and tourism, hydropower, and life insurance, increased, while the sub-index of two groups, including non-life insurance and others, decreased.

Ridi Power Company Limited topped the list in terms of turnover, with a total transaction value of Rs 172.631 million, followed by Global IME Bank Limited, which traded 588,735 shares.
