Nepal Stock Exchange Index Falls for Fourth Consecutive Day

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has fallen for the fourth consecutive day, with the benchmark index dropping 16.29 points to close at 2,672.58 on Thursday, Ashar 14, 2083.

Despite the decline, the total turnover has increased to over Rs 3.38 billion, with 44,651 transactions taking place during the day. A total of 337 companies’ shares were traded, with 75.48 lakh units changing hands.

Of the companies that traded, 59 saw their share prices increase, while 206 companies’ share prices fell. The share prices of 11 companies remained stable.

Rilayan Spinning Mills topped the list in terms of turnover, with shares worth Rs 24.38 crore being traded. Corporate Development Bank and Ridi Power Company followed, with turnovers of Rs 15.33 crore and Rs 10.77 crore, respectively.

Investors in Everest Color Limited made the highest gain of 15% during the day’s trading. The share prices of most other companies either fell or remained stable.
