Nepal PM Vows Impartial Probe into Violent Incidents in Sunsari and Other Districts

Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah has assured that an impartial and transparent investigation will be conducted into the recent violent incidents in Sunsari and other districts.

In his first address to the nation on Thursday evening, PM Shah expressed his commitment to bringing those responsible for the incidents to justice, regardless of their background or affiliation.

‘I want to assure you that the investigation will be thorough and impartial,’ PM Shah said. ‘Those found guilty will face the full force of the law.’

The Prime Minister also announced that the Home Ministry has formed an investigation committee to look into the incidents and that the government is working to restore peace and stability in the affected areas.

He also urged citizens not to spread false information or hate speech on social media, which could exacerbate the situation. PM Shah emphasized that the government is committed to protecting the rights of all citizens, regardless of their religion or ethnicity.

‘Our constitution guarantees the freedom to practice one’s own religion, and we will ensure that this right is protected,’ he said.

PM Shah also appealed to all citizens to remain calm and to work together to maintain peace and harmony in the country.

‘We must all work together to remove the clouds of unrest that have gathered over our peaceful Nepali sky,’ he said.
