Nepal Parliament Urges Solution to Sunsari Incident Through Social Harmony

Nepal’s Parliament has urged the government to find a solution to the Sunsari incident through social harmony and unity.

During the Parliament’s meeting, lawmakers drew the government’s attention to the Sunsari incident, as well as other issues such as the risk caused by continuous rainfall and the recent attack on a doctor at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj.

Lawmaker Samina Miya urged all parties to be cautious in the coming days to prevent such incidents from happening again, emphasizing that the Sunsari incident should not be politicized.

Lawmaker Buddhi Prasad Pant condemned the attack on the doctor and demanded an investigation into the incident and action against those responsible.

Lawmaker Rekha Kumari Yadav also stressed the need for all parties to be cautious to prevent the Sunsari incident from recurring.

Lawmaker Pramila Kumari Gachchhadar expressed sadness over the Sunsari incident, which she described as an unfortunate event caused by a minor dispute, and urged the government to prioritize citizens’ security.

Lawmaker Bhumi Limbu Subba informed the Parliament about the damage caused by continuous rainfall in Panchthar on Jestha 8 and demanded immediate rescue, relief, and compensation.

Lawmaker Nita Ghatan also urged the government to address the demands of Deepa Nepal, who has been protesting in Maitighar Mandala.

Lawmaker Narendra Kumar Kerung demanded the construction of a Bailey bridge to address the problems caused by flooding in Panchthar.

Lawmaker Vishwaraj Pokharel demanded an investigation into the murder of Kopila Dulal of Champadevi Rural Municipality-3 in Okhaldhunga, which occurred on Ashar 4.

Lawmaker Ganesh Karki clarified that the Public Service Commission examination has not been postponed, contrary to rumors.

Lawmaker Puran Prasad Limbu drew the government’s attention to the damage caused by landslides in Chaitpur Municipality-4, which has left 200 families without access to drinking water and destroyed cardamom crops.

Lawmaker Balawati Sharma also emphasized the need for all parties to work together to maintain social harmony in Sunsari.

Lawmaker Sulabh Kharel expressed the need for a systematic approach to addressing the problems of the Sukumbasi community.

Lawmaker Ramesh Mall demanded the search and rescue of Nepalis who have gone missing in India.

Lawmaker Yagya Mani Nyopane emphasized the need for politicians to practice tolerance.

Lawmaker Reema Vishwakarma informed the Parliament that 82 families of landless people in Bardiya district have received land ownership certificates.
