National Nepali Literature Award 2083 Opens for Applications

Nepal’s National Nepali Literature Award 2083 has opened its application process, aiming to promote Nepali language, literature, and creative writing, as well as honor outstanding writers.

The award’s organizer, Responsive Media, announced the opening of the application form on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The chairman of the organizing committee, Manoj Thapa, urged Nepali writers, poets, critics, translators, and contributors to the literary field, both within the country and abroad, to apply for the award.

According to Thapa, the award categories include Best Poetry, Best Epic, Best Long Poem, Best Song, Best Ghazal, Best Muktak, Best Haiku, Best Novel, Best Story, Best Short Story, Best Play, Best Essay, Best Criticism, Best Memoir, Best Autobiography, Best Children’s Literature, Best Translation, Best Research, Best Mother Language, and Best Diaspora.

Thapa expressed his confidence that the National Nepali Literature Award will further establish Nepali literature at the national and international levels.
