Seven families in Ajayameru rural municipality of Dadeldhura district have received land ownership certificates, also known as Lalpurja, from the District Land Problem Resolution Committee.
These families, who have been living in the area for a long time without official ownership of their land, have now become legal landowners after receiving the certificates.
The government has given high priority to resolving the problems of landless Dalits, landless Sukumbasis, and unmanaged settlers, and has accelerated the distribution of Lalpurja across the country.
As part of its campaign to make landless Dalits, landless Sukumbasis, and unmanaged settlers legal landowners, the government has been distributing land ownership certificates to eligible families in various parts of the country.
