Nepal Builders Association Appeals for Social Harmony

Nepal Builders Association (FCAN) has expressed deep concern over the recent clashes and unrest in various districts of the country, and has appealed to all parties to maintain social harmony and religious tolerance.

In a statement issued by the association’s president, Nikolas Pandey, the FCAN expressed sorrow over the human and material losses caused by the clashes in Sunsari, Siraha, Dhanusha, and Sapatri districts.

The association paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the incidents and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The statement noted that Nepalis’ fundamental identity is based on unity in diversity, mutual harmony, and cooperation, and that any social unrest, clashes, and violence can seriously damage this unique characteristic and glorious tradition.

The FCAN has directed its members in all seven provinces and 77 districts to play a constructive role in maintaining social harmony and religious tolerance.

The association believes that the country’s economic prosperity can only be achieved through broader unity, social harmony, and lasting peace.

The FCAN has urged the government, political parties, local communities, civil society, intellectuals, and the media to take immediate initiative to resolve the problems.

The association also emphasized that a lasting solution to any problem can only be achieved through dialogue and conversation, and has urged all parties to engage in talks to find a solution.
