NADA Urges Restraint Amid Tensions in Nepal’s Tarai Region

Nepal’s automotive association, NADA, has expressed serious concern over the recent violent incidents and unrest in the eastern part of the country, particularly in Sunsari’s Kaptangunj and other Tarai districts.

In a statement, NADA President Surendra Kumar Upreti condemned the violent activities, vandalism, and attempts to disrupt social harmony, stating that such incidents are unacceptable.

Upreti warned that these events would have a negative impact on peace and security, as well as on industries, investments, citizens’ daily lives, and the overall economy.

NADA has urged all parties to adopt restraint and seek solutions to problems through dialogue, mutual understanding, and legal and democratic processes.

The association has also requested the government to maintain peace and security, protect people’s lives, and restore normalcy in public life and business environments as soon as possible.
