Biratnagar United has won the Kankarbhitta Challenge Cup 2083, defeating APF Pakali 1-0 in the final match held at Kankarbhitta Stadium.
The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 111,100, along with a trophy, medals, and certificates. APF Pakali, the runner-up, received Rs 55,550, along with a trophy, medals, and certificates.
The final match was a thrilling and competitive game, with both teams displaying excellent skills. The winning goal was scored by Subas BK of Biratnagar United in the first half, which proved to be the decisive factor in the team’s victory.
Subas BK was declared the Player of the Match, while Ashish Chapagain of the winning team was declared the High Scorer with 4 goals. Abhishek Baral and Divas Uraw were declared the Best Goalkeeper and Best Defender, respectively.
Shyam Murmu of APF was declared the Player of the Tournament, while Raju Darji of the host team was declared the Emerging Player. Each of these players received a cash prize of Rs 5,000, along with a trophy.
The prizes were distributed by the chief guest, Province MP Gopal Tamang, former Province MP Shree Prasad Mainali, Mechinagar Deputy Chief Meena Pokhrel Upreti, Baljit Rai, and Gangalal Gurung, among others.
The tournament, which began on Ashar 9, 2083, featured eight teams, including six from Nepal and two from India.
