A complaint has been filed with various government agencies in India seeking an investigation into the assets, financial sources, and political activities of Abhijit Deepak, founder of the ‘Kakroach Janata Party’ (CJP).
According to Indian media reports, RTI activist Amit Tiwari from Surat, Gujarat, has filed separate complaints with the Maharashtra government, the Election Commission of India, and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
The complaints seek an investigation into the funds collected through Deepak’s campaign and their utilization. Tiwari has also raised questions about the source of funds used to send Deepak’s children to study in the United States, given his father’s modest income as a junior engineer at the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).
Tiwari has alleged that Deepak’s father, Bhagwanrao Deepak, who is a junior engineer at MIDC, earns a monthly salary of around 60,000 to 65,000 Indian rupees, which is insufficient to support his children’s education in the US.
The complaint seeks a fair investigation into the income sources and assets of Bhagwanrao Deepak and his family. Tiwari has demanded that if any unnatural assets are found, necessary action should be taken as per the prevailing laws.
