NMB Bank Limited has set a new record by earning a profit of over Rs 4 billion for the first time in its history. According to the bank’s unaudited financial statement, its net profit has reached Rs 4.01 billion in the current fiscal year, a 40.6% increase from the previous year’s Rs 2.85 billion.
The bank’s financial performance has also improved, with a return on equity (ROE) of 11.58% and a return on assets (ROA) of 1.04%. The bank’s total distributable profit stands at Rs 1.87 billion, with a distributable profit per share of Rs 9.08.
The bank attributes its increased profit to its business expansion and effective financial management. Its net interest income has increased by 17.5% to Rs 9.42 billion, while its fee and commission income has increased by 16.6% to Rs 2.83 billion.
The bank’s trading income has also seen a significant increase of 89% to Rs 68.14 million. NMB Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to creating long-term value for its customers, shareholders, and other stakeholders by prioritizing sustainable growth, digital financial services, and customer-centric services.
