The National Assembly of Nepal’s federal parliament is set to meet today. The meeting, scheduled for 1:15 pm, will see Prime Minister Balendra Shah present the ‘Madhesi Commission’s Annual Report for the Fiscal Year 2081/82’.
Additionally, the meeting will also see Krishna Prasad Paudel, chair of the Development and Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, present the ‘Study Report on Water Supply, Sanitation, and Water Resource Management in Madhes Province, 2083’.
Four parliamentary committees are also scheduled to meet today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the Finance Committee, Women and Social Affairs Committee, Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, and Public Accounts Committee will all convene.
The Public Accounts Committee, which meets at 2 pm, will discuss received petitions. The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will discuss the ‘National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081’ at its meeting, scheduled for 11 am.
The Women and Social Affairs Committee will discuss cyber security issues at its meeting, also scheduled for 11 am. The Finance Committee, which meets at 1 pm, will continue clause-wise discussions on the bill to amend the ‘Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058’.
