A peace protest was held in Maitighar, Kathmandu, on Monday by the Human Rights and Peace Society, with the aim of spreading a message of non-violence, peace, harmony, tolerance, and brotherhood.
The protest expressed concern over the growing intolerance and conflict in the current situation, and called on all parties to adopt the path of dialogue, consensus, and cooperation.
Participants in the program carried placards with messages such as ‘Let’s contribute to unity, not division’, ‘Our lifeblood: harmony and brotherhood’, and ‘Reject violence and hatred’, and demonstrated peacefully.
They emphasized the need to maintain social harmony and strengthen unity in diversity.
The Human Rights and Peace Society pointed out the need for all parties to be aware of the growing hatred, violence, and conflict in society, and stressed that mutual understanding and cooperation are essential for long-term peace.
