Nepal Lawmakers Demand Action Over Sunsari Incident

Nepal’s lawmakers have called for immediate action against those responsible for the recent incident in Sunsari, and demanded that the government provide adequate compensation to the victims.

During a special session of the House of Representatives, lawmakers urged the government to create a safe environment for citizens and ensure that those responsible for the incident are held accountable.

Lawmaker Guruprasad Baral criticized the government for failing to effectively address the situation in Sunsari, and called for greater efforts to promote religious tolerance in society.

Other lawmakers raised concerns about various issues, including the protection of Guthi land, the problems faced by farmers, and the need for effective measures to address the issue of wild boars damaging crops.

Lawmaker Bharat Giri demanded that the government conduct a thorough investigation into the Sunsari incident and take immediate action against those responsible, while also providing adequate compensation to the victims.

Lawmaker Prakash Chandra Pariyar emphasized the importance of promoting religious tolerance and harmony in society, and expressed concern over recent incidents in Sunsari and other areas.

Lawmaker Chandramohan Yadav called for the government to provide farmers with timely access to fertilizers, seeds, and irrigation facilities, and to create a safe environment for medical professionals to work.

Lawmakers Sajika Khadka Siddiki and Saraswati Lama demanded a high-level investigation into the Sunsari incident, and called for the government to provide adequate compensation to the families of the victims and medical treatment to those injured.

Lawmaker Shreeram Nyaupane paid tribute to Om Prakash Pandey, who died during the construction of the Nagdhunga-Surung road, and expressed hope for the speedy recovery of those injured during the construction process.

Lawmaker Prakash Singh Karki emphasized the need for the government to be vigilant in preventing incidents like the one in Sunsari, and called for collective efforts to promote religious tolerance in society.

Lawmaker Lekhjung Thapa highlighted the importance of dialogue in resolving conflicts, citing the example of the recent agreement between the government and the Nepal Medical Association.
