Moderate Rain Expected in Far-West Nepal Until Thursday

Heavy monsoon rains have been affecting several areas in far-west Nepal, including Dhangadhi in Kailali. According to the Water and Meteorology Office in Attariya, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of the province until Thursday.

Sanjay Kumar Sah, chief of the office, said that the weather is expected to change until Thursday, with moderate rain in the Terai and hilly regions, and light rain in the mountainous regions. "There may be occasional rain and sunshine during this period, and the weather is expected to change in all Terai, hill, and mountainous regions," he said. "However, the possibility of heavy rain is low."

Sah warned that people living in areas prone to flooding, such as the banks of the Tapi River, need to be cautious. According to him, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of the mountainous region today. In the hilly region, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in several areas, and heavy rain in one or two areas.

In the Terai region, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas.
