Mahindra’s XUV-e9S to Debut at NAIMA Mobility Expo

Mahindra is set to unveil its new electric SUV, the XUV-e9S, at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, scheduled to take place from Bhadra 26 at the Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.

The XUV-e9S is built on Mahindra’s advanced ‘INGLO’ platform, which has also been used in the XUV-e9 and BE-6 models. The new SUV features a traditional design that is expected to attract customers.

The XUV-e9S boasts an attractive front with an LED light bar, a closed-off grille, and a muscular bumper design. The coupe-style sloping roof of the XUV-e9 has been replaced with a boxy, traditional SUV roofline. The new XUV-e9S has a 2762mm long wheelbase and can be equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels.

Mahindra appears to have prioritized comfort over style in the XUV-e9S. The cabin is equipped with advanced technology and features, including a triple-screen setup on the dashboard, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, and dual-zone climate control.

The XUV-e9S also features a 16-speaker Harman audio system, Dolby Atmos, a head-up display, ADAS 2.0, a memory driver seat, and an air purifier. The second-row seats offer ventilated seats, slide and recline functions, sun blinds, tray tables, wireless charging, and an entertainment screen.

The third-row seats are designed for children or short trips. The XUV-e9S is available with three battery options in the Indian market: 59 kW, 70 kW, and 79 kW. However, it is unclear which battery option will be available in Nepal.

The rear-wheel-drive system is paired with a 79 kW battery and an electric motor that produces 281 BHP and 380 Nm of torque.
