Janakpur. The District Administration Office of Dhanusha has imposed an indefinite curfew in some sensitive areas of the district.
The order, issued by Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel, was made based on a decision taken during a district security committee meeting held today. The curfew will be in effect from 3:30 pm today, Shrawan 14, until further notice.
The order, issued under Section 6 of the Local Administration Act 2028, prohibits anyone from moving around, gathering, holding rallies, demonstrations, meetings, or sit-ins in the designated areas.
The administration has warned that anyone violating the order will face action under prevailing laws.
The curfew area has been demarcated with boundaries, including Lakshminiya Hatbazar Chowk in the north, Siurjoda Chowk in the west, Lakshimpur Novwaas in the east, and Belauni Road in the south.
The District Administration Office has urged the general public to fully comply with the curfew order, citing the sensitive situation and the need to maintain peace and security.
