Heavy Rainfall Expected in Nepal’s Hilly Regions Today

Nepal’s Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted heavy rainfall in the country’s hilly regions today, with a high chance of heavy showers in four provinces.

The monsoon trough is currently located in western Nepal, and the weather system is expected to bring heavy rainfall to the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.

According to the division, there is a high chance of moderate to heavy rainfall in the hilly regions, with some areas expected to receive heavy showers. The division has also warned of a risk of flash floods, landslides, and disruptions to daily life, agriculture, health services, tourism, and transportation.

The division has urged the concerned authorities and the general public to take necessary precautions to minimize the risks associated with the heavy rainfall.

The weather forecast for today is as follows: the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving heavy showers. The Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, are also expected to receive heavy rainfall.
