Curfew Lifted in Rajbiraj and Bodhbarsha, Prohibition Order Issued

A prohibition order has been issued in Rajbiraj and Bodhbarsha municipalities after the curfew was lifted, according to the District Administration Office of Saptari.

The decision was made during a meeting of the District Security Committee today, said Chief District Officer Shyamkrishna Thapa.

The order prohibits gatherings of more than five people, meetings, rallies, sit-ins, and demonstrations in both municipalities until further notice.

The prohibition order was issued under Section 6(3K) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, and the administration has urged the public not to violate it.

The prohibited area in Rajbiraj municipality includes the area from Khandokhola in the east to Hulaki Highway in the west, Rupani Road in the north, and Koshi Western Main Canal in the south.

In Bodhbarsha municipality, the prohibited area includes the area from Hulaki Highway in the east to Prithampur Chowk in the west, Negada Chowk in the north, and Manraja Chowk in the south.

The District Administration Office has urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with the administration’s decision to maintain peace, security, and social harmony in the district.

The prohibition order will remain in effect until further notice.
