Curfew Lifted in Janakpur: Life Returns to Normal

Janakpur, Dhanusha. The curfew imposed in Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City and surrounding areas has been lifted from Sunday morning. Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luitel announced that the curfew was completely lifted from 5 am on Sunday, Shrawan 18.

The local administration had imposed the curfew from 10 am on Saturday, Shrawan 16, under Section 6 of the Local Administration Act, 2028. The administration stated that the protesting parties had withdrawn all their protest programs, the security situation in the district was returning to normal, and daily life was gradually normalizing.

The decision to lift the curfew was made based on a review of the recent security situation and a meeting of the District Security Committee. The District Administration Office has appealed to the public to maintain peace, security, and social harmony while carrying out their daily activities.

With the administration’s decision, it is expected that traffic, trade, and other public activities will resume smoothly in the Janakpur area.
