Nepal’s Parsa District to Enhance Security Measures

A meeting of the Parsa District Security Committee has decided to effectively manage the district’s peace and security through coordinated efforts among all security agencies.

The meeting, chaired by Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, was held on Friday and discussed the implementation of the Home Ministry’s (Peace and Security and Crime Control Branch) directives, the decisions of the Province Security Coordination Committee, and the Madhes Province meeting.

The meeting decided to implement the directives in a coordinated manner, ensuring cooperation, coordination, facilitation, and participation among all stakeholders. The Home Ministry had issued a directive on Thursday, calling for security agencies to be proactive in maintaining law and order and to operate security personnel in a disciplined manner.

The meeting also decided to impose a curfew in the main areas of Birgunj from 5 pm on Friday to 6 am on Saturday, considering the potential security challenges in Parsa district due to the recent unrest in various parts of the country.
