Nepal’s National Assembly Urges Government to Meet Public Expectations

Nepal’s National Assembly has urged the government to work in accordance with the public’s expectations and trust. During a special session of the assembly, members emphasized that the government should address the problems faced by the people.

Nepali Congress MP Kiran Babu Shrestha said the Nepali people have placed their trust in the government, led by the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and it is the government’s responsibility to work in line with the people’s aspirations. He added that the government should learn from the sacrifices made by leaders who fought for the country’s independence and democracy.

CPN-UML MP Rukmini Koirala stressed that Nepal is a multicultural, multilingual, and multi-religious country, and the government should work in harmony with all communities to address the problems faced by the people. She also emphasized the need for the government to identify the real problems faced by the people and work towards finding solutions.

CPN-MC MP Shrikrishna Prasad Adhikari demanded that the government investigate the recent incidents in Sunsari district and take action against those responsible. Nepali Congress MP Dhirendra Paswan emphasized the need for dialogue, reconciliation, and coordination to achieve peace and prosperity in the country.

CPN-MC MP Bhuvan Bahadur Sunuwar drew the government’s attention to the plight of the victims of the Mitra Bijaya scam, who are still waiting for justice. CPN-UML MP Rekha Kumari Jhala urged the government to take measures to control smuggling and criminal activities along the Nepal-India border.
