Nepal’s Communist Party Holds Joint Meeting to Discuss New Government

A joint meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) Kosi Province Party and the parliamentary party has begun in Birat to discuss the formation of a new government in the Kosi Province.

The meeting, being held at the party’s provincial office in Birat, is attended by top leaders including party secretary and Kosi Province in-charge Sher Dhan Rai, party secretary and Kosi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, and provincial president Ghanashyam Khadka.

According to sources, the meeting will discuss the current political situation in the province following the three-point agreement between the Communist Party of Nepal and the Unified Marxist-Leninist party, and the differences within the party regarding the formation of a new government.

The meeting is expected to decide on the party’s future political strategy, the process of forming a new government, and the party’s common stance.
