Nepal Rastra Bank’s Assets Reach 3.874 Trillion Rupees

Nepal Rastra Bank’s total assets and liabilities have reached 3.874 trillion rupees as of the end of Ashar, according to the bank’s monthly financial statement for the fiscal year 2082/83.

This represents a significant increase from the same period last year, when the bank’s total assets and liabilities stood at 2.712 trillion rupees.

The bank’s foreign exchange assets have seen a notable increase, with total foreign exchange assets reaching 3.703 trillion rupees as of the end of Ashar, up from 2.567 trillion rupees in the same period last year.

Within foreign exchange assets, time deposits at foreign banks have reached 61.577 billion rupees, while investments in foreign securities have surpassed 262.32 billion rupees. Additionally, investments in gold certificates have reached 22.47 billion rupees.

The bank’s cash and deposits at foreign banks have also increased, reaching 25.35 billion rupees, according to the financial statement.
