A total of 875 divorce cases were filed in the Bagmati Province last year, making it the most common case in the region.
According to Keshav Raj Kaushik, information officer at the Makwanpur District Court, a total of 2,315 cases were registered in the court during the last fiscal year 2082/83.
Among them, 875 were divorce cases, 304 were related to share distribution, 239 were related to loan recovery, 192 were related to transactions, 119 were related to banking security, and 110 were related to document forgery.
Other cases included 99 cases of cheating, 75 cases of theft, 53 cases of vehicle theft, and 46 cases of extortion.
The court has settled a total of 2,315 cases during the last fiscal year, according to Kaushik.
