A curfew has been reimposed in four areas of Birgunj, a city in southern Nepal, by the District Administration Office, Parsa. The curfew, which will be in effect from 5 pm on Friday to 6 am on Saturday, covers the areas of Pratima Chowk (Buspark Bypass Road), Tilawe Pul (West), Gandak Chowk (North), and Shankaracharya Gate (South).
The order, issued by Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, prohibits gatherings of more than five people, meetings, rallies, and demonstrations in the specified areas. The administration has warned that anyone violating the order will be taken into custody and action will be taken according to the prevailing law.
This is the second time in a week that a curfew has been imposed in the same areas. The previous curfew was also in effect for the same duration.
