About Nepali Unicode Typing

Nepali Unicode Typing lets you write in Devanagari script using a standard English (QWERTY) keyboard. Instead of learning a complex keyboard layout, you type words the way they sound in English — a method called phonetic transliteration or Romanized input.

How to Use This Tool

• Type Nepali words phonetically using English letters.
• Press Space or Enter after each word to convert it to Devanagari.
• If the result isn't what you expect, press Backspace to undo and try a different spelling (e.g. "aam" instead of "am" for आम).
• Click Copy to copy the Unicode text to your clipboard.
• Paste into Facebook, WhatsApp, Google Docs, WordPress, or any platform that supports Nepali Unicode.

Typing Tips

• Use aa or A for the long vowel आ (e.g. "kaam" → काम)
• Use ee or I for ई (e.g. "deena" → दीना)
• Use oo or U for ऊ (e.g. "sooraj" → सूरज)
• For conjuncts, just type both consonants: "kta" → क्त, "dya" → द्य
• For special characters: M → ं (anusvara), H → ः (visarga), ~ → ँ (chandrabindu)
